Statutory Inspection of Anglican & Methodist Schools (SIAMS)

In addition to  Ofsted inspections, all Church of England schools are also inspected by the Church of England Education Office.  These are called SIAMS inspections and are designed to assess the Christian character in Church schools, as well as overall school performance.

Under previous SIAMS frameworks, they used 'one-word judgements', similar to Ofsted.  However, under the latest framework the gradings have been reduced to one of two possible outcomes.

St John’s C of E Primary School received a  SIAMS inspection on 8th February 2024.

The inspection findings indicate that St John's Church of England Primary School is living up to its foundation as a Church school.

Grounded in ‘whatever you do, work at it with all your heart,’ pupils believe that they have the ability to do anything. They aspire to do well at St John’s. Pupils know how to do their best because they are given clear guidance and objectives. Staff are relentless in ensuring that everyone has the education they deserve
