Church Links

We hold very dear our relationship with St Helen’s Church in Stapleford, as well as the other local Churches.

Reverend Paul Savage is the local vicar and is also a Foundation Governor of the school.  He leads collective worship in school on a regular basis.  The chair of governors is also a foundation governor and member of St Helen’s Church.  The Church warden is our third foundation governor.

We hold our end-of-term services at the church at Christmas, Easter and in the summer.  Children are regular visitors as part of the R.E. curriculum and also visit Southwell Minster in Year 3 and Year 6.

We are proud of our Christian ethos and were delighted to be recognised as an Outstanding Church school in 2016.  You can view a copy of the SIAMS report which confirms this here.

Prayer plays an important part of each school day; grace is said before eating meals and we pray to God in our collective worship.  The children’s school diaries contain Christian messages on each page and are reinforced in school.  Christian Values are shared and explored on our weekly newsletter.
